2026 Congressional App Workshop

Students from across Kansas came together at Link Innovation Labs for a hands-on Congressional App Challenge and Roblox workshop. Participants explored Roblox Studio, developed ideas for their 2026 Congressional App Challenge entries and gained practical experience turning their concepts into working projects.

The free workshop gave middle and high school students access to devices, software, guidance and resources designed to help them continue building their skills in technology, coding and digital creation. A special thank-you goes to the Topeka & Shawnee County Public Library for providing breakfast and TCALC for providing laptops for students to use throughout the workshop.

Parents also received helpful information on ways to keep students safe online, along with resources from Washburn University and opportunities to stay connected to future educational and technology-focused programming.

The event brought together students, families and community partners to support creativity, learning and the next generation of innovators.
